Just a warning now, NSFW content maybe be mentioned in some of these docs. Nothing bad, just swearing, and things like that.
I will start this off by posting some of Silvers solo stuff first. i will try to keep the stories in order, but i cannot make any guarantees that i can do it
Silver Drafaylum Solo
Shattered Friendships Part 1
Talk of classes, and whispers of Senka instituting a new curfew for students, and teachers was all Quenya heard as she walked through the castle. Students stopped, and said hello to the wolf woman but she was on a mission. She clutched a stack of papers close to her body as she moved through the ancient structure. Her trek brought her through the family quarters, and into the new training hall Silver had made for himself.
Quenya reached the training hall just in time to see Silver fall to his knees for exhaustion. He was covered in scrapes, and bruises, even a few bloody cuts. But his sparring partner did not have a scratch on her. Senka stood over her son looking like she had just gotten ready for the day. Not even a single hair was out of place, which was a surprise considering Silver's condition. She rested her hands on her hips before talking to her offspring. “ You have gotten a lot better Silver, I would say you are almost to where you used to be.i am glad to see you recovering so well”
The ancient elf just smiled at her son before walking towards a small cabinet, When she opened it a couple ice chunks fell out revealing eight bottles. Six of them were water, the remaining two were filled with a dark black liquid. Senka retrieved one water bottle from the cabinet, and drank some of it. The woman didnt need water, she just didnt want to waste it. When she drank about a third of the bottle she poured in the dark liquid. The water immediately turned black once the second liquid was added.
Senka shook the concoction as she walked over to her son.both Drafaylums didn't realize Quenya was there. The wolf woman just watched their interactions “ It's time for your medication, and I want to watch you drink it. Those bottles are too full for you to be taking it like you are supposed to.” She handed the drink to her son who just sighed and took a sip. He tried to stop drinking it only for his mother to gently push on the bottom of the bottle. “ Keep drinking, I won't leave until that entire bottle is empty.” Senka kept her hand on the bottle until it was empty. Once it was she took it back to the cabinet so she could mix another one.
Silver was about to say something about not needing another dose until Senka turned to Quenya. The wolf woman looked at the elf with wide eyes, she tried to walk out of the room backwards. “ No Senka, I don't need that anymore. I have not had an attack in months.” The wolf woman's doctor just kept walking towards her until Quenya had backed herself into a corner.
She eyed the bottle with concern before turning her attention to Senka. The elf was smiling sweetly despite the words coming out of her mouth. “ You are going to drink this Quenya, and you are going to like it. Do not lie to me about not having an attack in months. I have some little birdies that told me you had one just this morning, are you going to take this? Or am I going to have to make you?”
Senka kept her smile as Quenya awkwardly reached out to take the potion. She stared at it for a moment before the ancient elf gently nudged it towards her friend's mouth. The wolf woman swallowed hard before chugging her medicine. The taste of it had all the hair on her body standing on end while her face turned a weird shade of green. She finished the drink in record time before handing the bottle back to Senka.
Quenya let out a couple of coughs before managing to get a few words out. “ God Senka, can you make that taste any better? I would rather eat out of the trash.” the wolf never realized the error of her words until Senka spoke .” Quenya, you do eat out of the trash so it's not a good comparison. Also no i can't make it taste better, so deal with it." The elf put the empty bottle back into the cabinet before leaving the room.
She only stopped to look at the two wolf eared people, Both of them seemed preoccupied trying to get the taste of the potion out of their mouths. Quenya was munching on some candy, while Silver dug through his bag until he found salt cubes. He ate a couple of them before Quenya swiped what he had left. Neither one spoke until Silver returned to his normal pale complection. “ I love that woman to death but why did she have to alter that potion? It was bad enough before, but now it's worse than ever.”
Quenya just shrugged. “ Yeah it tastes way worse, but we no longer hallucinate after drinking it. Do you have any more salt cubes? That really killed the taste.” Silver shook his head causing his other half to pout. “ Damn, I will have to raid the kitchen later. Onto more important news, four more families on your No touching list disappeared. Lysander said he was handling it but I don't know…Something doesn't add up.”
She awkwardly organized the papers in her hands when she noticed Senka finally leaving the room. The ancient elf was smiling as she left the room, she found it endlessly amusing how bad they thought the potion tasted. She thought it tasted fine. Then again her “tastebuds” didn't quite work right anyway. So she could not be tasting the same thing.
The wolf woman handed her friend the stack of papers she was carrying, and a few things were marked important. That didn't seem to matter to Silver, he started reading every piece of information he was presented with. He was so focused on what he was doing he just sat down on the dirt floor of the training hall. What started out as curiosity slowly descended into anger the longer he read. When he was done Silver was grinding his teeth so hard one of his canines broke off.
The sudden pain forced a growl from Silver as he stood up, the entire stack of papers was crushed into a ball in his hand. “ We need to find Lysander, Now.” The half breed started walking towards a bathroom so he could wash up, and he was followed in by Quenya. He stared at her for a moment but she just shrugged and sat down on a nearby sink. Even though she knew what needed to be done the wolf woman wanted to know more “ Why do we need to find Lysander? He is trying to find whoever is taking these people so we should just let him do his job. If anyone can get it done he can.”
Quenya’s other half just shook his head as he stripped to take a shower. He tried to clean up quickly but he kept stopping to talk. “ We need to find Lysander because I think he is the one taking them. Several names on that list were only known to Lysander, Dragon, and myself. Dragon is dead, and I cast a memory spell on myself so I could forget all these names. Well at least until I saw them again…Quenya, Lucian's parents are on that list. They are listed among known dead.”
The mention of the shapeshifting boy's parents had the wolf woman looking at her feet. She didn't want to admit it but her friend's logic was sound. She didn't move, or say anything until Silver was completely dressed. He was messaging someone on his Telegem when Quneya spoke. “ Silver if Lysander is really taking these people…What do you think he wants with them?” She never got an answer from her friend, instead she saw Silver's wrist get sliced as something sped by him. Whoever it was stole his Telegem and shattered it.
Quenyas answer came from Lysander himself, he was crushing the communications device to dust as he spoke. “ I don't want anything from them honestly, I just think beings like that should not be allowed to roam free. I put them in special places so they can be safe.” The sick smile on Lysander's face had both wolf eared beings moving towards him. Silver only made it a few steps before his hand convulsed in pain so intense he fell to his knees.
His other half met a similar fate, Quenya tried to teleport behind Lysander only for the man to suddenly spin around. He drew his sword as he moved, the resulting attack almost cutting Quenya in half. His sword bit hard into her hip before moving up her body. It finally exited her shoulder. The barely alive wolfkin hit the ground with a wet thud, Lysander just laughed as he moved to finish the woman off.
“ I know you will just come back if I kill you, so I had a new friend cook up something special. I am just glad you had those babies early, I would have hated to waste potential research subjects.” While he spoke Lysander drew special seals on his sword. Quenya recognized them and tried to move. She couldn't, her body refused to move. Her oldest friend raised his sword to end her life until Silver's mist slammed into their friend.
It hit the man with so much force it pushed him through two walls before he was outside. Once he was free falling the mist hit him again. Lysander hit the ground with so much force a small crater formed around his body. The man struggled to get up as his crystal body put itself back together. He was surprised his old friend was not already up his ass, and beating him into dust.
He didn't care honestly, he just initiated the second phase of his plan. If silver would not come to him then he would flush him out. The betrayer started on a spell that created five large balls of light. The longer the spell was chanted the smaller the balls of light became. The moment the spell was ready two of the orbs were fired at the castle, The first one was aimed right at Silver, and Quenya.
Silver was trying to patch up his friend when the blast hit next to him, The second blast hit in the same spot. The remaining three were fired randomly in the hopes of bringing the castle down on the wolfkin. A large part of the ancient structure crumbled around where Silver should have been. Screams of pain could be heard as a few innocent people were caught in the attack.
Lysander just laughed as he turned his attention to a very angry pair of ancients. Senka, and Barska came storming out of the castle ready to absolutely murder him. They probably would have if two abominations did not intercept them. Both things were massive, they easily dwarfed Barska in both height and bulk. The grotesque creatures just roared in defiance as they attacked the ancients.
One easily picked Barska up, and threw him. While the other punched Senka right in the head. The blow caused visible cracks to show up her face, while causing her to stumble. The abomination used the moment to grab her arm. Its clamped down so hard the limb almost shattered, once it had a good hold it started to slam the ancient elf around wildly in an attempt to turn her body into dust.
Barska was getting a similar treatment, he kept getting thrown around while getting a few good hits in. Both abominations eventually stopped to roar in victory, Barska was not moving, and Senka had been thrown through a wall; her body was a shattered mess. The creatures roars brought more screams from onlookers, and students who tried to find a place to hide. Teachers screamed orders for students to gather where they were supposed to. The chaos brought so much joy to Lysander he decided to move his plans forward.
When he spoke his voice was amplified for everyone to hear. “ There is no reason to be scared students, we are just apprehending a few criminals. Gentleman can I get a hand getting everyone under control. This school is no longer under the protection of the guardians. In fact the guardians are no more.” Lysander illustrated his point by ripping off his badge, and throwing it to the ground.
When he mentioned help, dozens of guardians appeared, all of them dropped their badges on the ground just like the man they threw their lot in with. Each former guardian moved towards the castle with purpose, their plans were derailed as a black rain started to fall. The strange rain blocked them from entering the castle by building up over any entrance to the structure. they all looked around confused until Falvir emerged from the rain. The mage eyes were burning bright with anger as the older man calmly walked towards his opponents.
“ Your plan is really a bold one, Lysander, I will give you that much. Your timing just sucks.” Falvir kept his walking and demeanor calm even as Lysander answered. “ My timing is just fine Ryker, just leave. I will give you one chance to see your children again.” Falvir just kept walking towards them. He knew he would not win fighting Lysander, and all of the other guardians gathered. He could however keep them all busy long enough for the school to be evacuated.
When he stopped walking Falvir wore a similar sadistic smile to Lysander. “ No, your timing is horrible because I am here.” The void sage's words were punctuated by his eyes flashing a bright red before the man disappeared. When he reappeared he was kicking Lysander in the head. The blow was strong enough to take his friend's head clean off his shoulders. If the betrayer had a flesh and blood body he would have been dead.
Falvir was a blur of movement after that, he never stayed in the same spot for more than a few moments. Just long enough to brutally beat a couple of guardians. The abominations moved to enter the fray until their original targets suddenly came back to life. Barska was the first to move, he got to his feet with incredible speed for a walking mountain. He grabbed his opponent by the head, and threw him into the ground. Even after it hit the ground the dwarf stomped on its head repeatedly while letting out a roar of his own.
The battlecry that escaped from his lips was just the start to the abomination's vicious beating. Barska gave as good as he got, his opponent was struggling to keep up with the ancient being. When it became clear he would not win with just his fist Barska managed to throw his opponents to the ground again. One good stomp stunned the abomination as Barska summoned his hammer. “ For our ancestors I will free you from this pain brothers.” He held his hand out just in time to catch his massive weapon. It crashed through whatever it had to, to reach its master.
He brought it down hard on the abominations skull, it crushed it like it was nothing. Barska then threw his hammer at the second one. It worked to stop it from attack Falvir but it didnt kill the thing. Instead the monster caught the hammer and threw it back at the dwarf. Barska was so shocked the hammer hit him square in the chest. It took him off his feet. Luckily Senka got enough of herself together she could hit the thing with a large bolt of gold lightning.
The spell pierced that monster before exploding. What Senka hoped would take it out only seemed to make it angrier. When the smoke cleared she saw the damn thing was rapidly healing. She hit it with another bolt but it did nothing to it. The realization of what her target was had the ancient elf pulling her body together even faster. “ Barska they are Morgrims” She managed to get her body together, and reinforce it just as her oldest friend's seemingly lifeless body was tackled through yet another wall.
Both Morgrims howled at Senka as she pulled herself to her feet. Whatever fear she felt was gone, the monsters before had to die. The sight of Barska lying on the floor dying only fueled the growing rage in her gut. The ancient one let out a scream of her own, The wail that escaped her lips easily ripped both of her opponents off their feet. They flew through the air for a few moments before Senka was above them. She slammed one of them back to the ground with another bolt of gold lightning.
The other she ripped to shreds with the two dragons that emerged from her ankles. “ Feed my children, eat to your heart's content.” The dragons did as they were told and eagerly devoured their prey. They were messy eaters though, plenty of the creature splattered onto the one pinned down by a lightning bolt. The Morgrims strange adaptation kicked in the moment it's brother's gore touched its skin.
It started to absorb what remained of its kin and grew large. It got so large it broke free of Senkas spell. It just stared at the ancient elf as she effortlessly floated above it, the normally calm, composed elf was done with it all. Her dragons, and herself covered with, blood and viscera gave her the appearance of an angel of death. The emotionless look on her face barely hide her murderous intent.
They two opponents just stared at each other, both waiting for the other to make the first move. Neither one moved as the fight at the school became even more intense than before. Senka ultimately moved first as she summoned her staff to her, the weapon appeared in her hand before a scythe blade popped out of the top. The weapon glowed a bright white the longer she held it. She swung it, sending a barrage of white blades at her target.
The sight of Barska getting utterly destroyed by the Morgrim enraged Falvir enough to keep him fighting like he had been. It was hard to maintain the speed he was fighting at, but the mage eyes made it easier. He easily dodged spells, and physical attacks alike until someone shot him. The moment he appeared to take out another guardian when a bullet ripped through his side. The sudden pain slowed him down enough that another attacker managed to smash the sage in the chest with a hammer.
Falvir barely managed to stay on his feet, but his mind was elsewhere. His body was on autopilot. He kept fighting even when a savior appeared. He was so out of it he didn't know who it was. All he knew was they were quick to start defending him, eventually more people joined. When the sage could finally focus, Falvir was surrounded by four people. Monk Owl, Farin, Miraia, and Nilfa. All four teachers easily pushed the former guardians back long enough for Falvir to get to his bearings.
The fighting kept on until even Falvirs reinforcements could not handle it. They were starting to losing until a welcome command filled the air. “ Bring them to their knees Max.” Elizabeth's arrival shook the attackers more than Falvir did. Max the storm kitten transformed into his massive form before bowling into his prey. The cat's jaws snapped closed on an unlucky woman's head biting it clean off, the cat also discharged enough electricity to fry any intruder within fifteen feet of him.
Elizabeth swooped in on her wings to attack the now recovered Lysander, the man tried to teleport only to be interrupted. The death elf threw all of her mage daggers at Lysander, she didn't want to hit the man. She wanted him to dodge, When she landed her wings disappeared. She moved quickly to attack Lysander, and the man tried to teleport. His spell failed as he reappeared right where he had been standing.
His reappearance was perfectly timed for Elizabeth to land a punch to his face, she hit hard enough to fracture his jaw. The older fighter didn't stumble, he just started trying to cut the death elf in half. She easily avoided the few first attacks, but Lysander was faster than her. He slashed her thigh deep enough to cover his sword in her blood. The moment he had it he tried to use it to cast a spell.
Unfortunately for Lysander the spell backfired, it was so intense his sword shattered sending shards in every direction. A large chunk damaged his body. While smaller shards of the destroyed weapon cut into Elizabeth. She pushed through the pain, and the smoke to keep fighting. She attacked what she thought was her target. Instead she punched a clone that suddenly froze and locked her in place, The elf silently cursed just as Lysander pressed the barrel of a gun to her eye.
All anyone around them saw was the gun go off, and a large spray of blood before the elf went limp. Lysander was tired of everything that was going on, the attack had drawn on way longer than it should have. He went to walk past what appeared to be a dead elf except he stopped. He put two more rounds into her, nothing lethal, that way if she was not dead before she should be after a few more painful minutes.
The moment she was dealt with Lysander pulled a talisman out of his coat. When it caught the sunlight just right the betrayer started to chant a very dark spell. Anyone that knew what it meant fought even harder, all in the hopes of stopping their former friend. A small sun appeared around the talisman, and it grew to the size of a small boulder before suddenly compressing into the size of a golf ball.
No one was prepared when the blast went off, Lysander didn't even seem to care about most of his allies. He just continued to enjoy murdering whatever was in front of him, he thought he felt his goals finally within his grasp
Shattered Friendships Part 2
Where were they? It was all Silver and Quenya could think of as they came to. They had decided to merge their bodies together for some reason. Now everything was dark, and an immense weight was pushing down on them. Silver tried to move his arm but something shifted and pinned him down even more.
Every bone in his body screamed in pain as more weight threatened to crush him. Screams, and the sounds of combat eventually reached his ears. When the noise of the outside world reached him, paired with the warmth of blood running down his head, woke Silver up completely. It took his eyes a moment to adjust but he soon figured out where he was.
He was trapped under all the debris from Lysanders explosion spell. Panic threatened to set in until Silver forced himself to take deep breaths. If he panicked then he was never going to get out of his current predicament. While he was keeping himself calm Quenya spoke. The woman's voice was weak like she was barely clinging to life. “ Thank you Silver, If you had not bonded with me I would be dead ... .-groan- how..-groan- how are we going to get out of this?”
Silver just shook his head as he struggled to come up with a plan. He had already started to spread his mist as far as he could. He had to see how screwed they were, and the reality of their situation was they were pretty screwed. A massive section of the castle had fallen on top of them. Even with how strong the pair are when bonded they couldn't lift it. Silver couldn't teleport either, when he tried the pain in his wrist intensified, like it was stopping him.
The screams of help from students pulled his attention away from himself. He wanted to free himself first but his other half had different ideas. “ Save the students, we will be fine.” She illustrated her point by using her mist to pick some of the debris off of them. He kept using his mist to locate students.
Whenever he found one he would teleport them to safety, No matter how much it hurt. Despite the pain it was easier to teleport others. Twenty students were saved, and they were mostly unharmed. Some broken bones, and a concussion. When it was clear Silver sealed off the area with his mist as tried to carefully free himself. That was until he heard his mothers voice. “ Barska they are Morgrims”
Quenyas alarm matched Silvers over the news, but how to get out. His other half went through several ideas while he just acted. Silver consolidated as much mist as he could around himself, and then he did the same thing to everything around him. His other half wondered what he was doing until he did it. She almost screamed in fear, her surprise echoed through his skull enough to almost give Silver a headache.
When everything was ready Silver used his mist to crush everything. No piece of the broken building was left beyond a few piles of dust. Silver fell to his knees afterwards as he coughed up an alarming amount of black liquid. He was still struggling to breath when he forced himself to his feet.
It was then he noticed how bad things were. Elizabeth, and Barska looked like they were dead. Falvir, and the other professors were desperately trying to fight their way to safety. Falvir was the first to break free, instead of attacking Lysander he used his rain to block the initial blast of his spell. Falvir was joined by Miraia, she barely erected a barrier in time.
Silver tried to use his mist to create another barrier to help except he never got the chance, Lysander noticed he was alive and shot him several times. The small distraction ended the betrayers spell. The castle defenders caught in the blast lived…Barely. All of Lysanders allies were dead. The man didn't seem to care, the smell of burning meat, and hair didn't even faze him.
The former guardian just looked around as he casually reloaded. His biggest threats were almost dead already, and Senka was busy redesigning the mountainside with the Morgrim. He watched their mind bendingly brutal fight before his attention returned to the castle defenders. Owl, and Farin both decided to attack him when they thought he was not paying attention.
Monk Owl was shot twice in the chest before getting viciously kicked to the ground. Farin landed a couple of good hits before Lysander broke both of the man's legs with one kick. The betrayer even put a couple of bullets into the silent ones back. He tried to move onto Silver except Farin grabbed his ankle.
All Lysander could do was chuckle as he pointed his revolver at the teacher. “ I always liked you, Farin. I would hate to end our particular friendship with a bullet. Let go.” What the normally silent teacher said next had the betrayer shooting him in the arm.
“ You…you already have Lysander. You're betraying your friends. So kill me if you want me to stop…AAAAHH….” Whatever voice Farin had left in his body was shattered when he screamed in pain. He let go of his friend's leg only because the bullet removed his arm completely. Lysander kicked the arm away as he reloaded again. He nonchalantly dropped the hot brass of his former friends purposely burning them.
Silver was on his feet by this point, his mist no longer spread around him. Instead he was using it to reinforce his body. He sealed the bullet holes as he prepared for a fight. He knew he couldn't fight long but he had to beat his friend.
His old friend just smiled as he closed his gun after reloading it. “ Finally the great Lord Drafaylum gets to his feet. I was wondering how many people I would have to kill to get you going. I am really happy that I didn't kill you with that spell. It means I can finally beat that smug look off your face”
Silver just shook his head. “ The only smug look was always yours, Lysander. Do you remember what I said to you after you killed your family? When I found you kneeling in their blood.” Lysander shook his head as he aimed at the gun at his friend. “ No not really, I told you what you wanted to hear so I could live.”
Silver just shook his head after spitting out a mouthful of black liquid. “ It really doesn't matter anymore, There is no coming back from this.” Lysander fired his gun, and the bullet ripped through “ Silver”. It was a clone, the half breed created it around the time he got up from being shot.
His hands glowed a bright blue by the time he reached Lysander. His old friend was not fast enough to evade two punches. One to his gut,and the other to his head. The punch to his gut shattered part of his body, and the one to his head had him screaming in pain. Lysander stumbled but he still managed to block a well timed kick to his head.
He managed to dodge a few more of Silver’s attacks after that.He even put enough distance between them to put yet another bullet into his friend. This one tore through the wolfkins leg, it didn't slow him down. His mist just filled the hole allowing him to keep fighting. The friends settled into a rhythm, neither one of them really landed a good hit on the other.
Neither of them were pulling their punches, Every time Silver landed a hit on his former friend anyone nearby could clearly hear breaking glass. Unfortunately every time Lysander hit Silver it was clear something was getting broken. They went back and forth like this for a few moments until Lysander tried to shoot his friend again. Silver grabbed the gun and disarmed his friend by using the new dagger version of Tail to cut his arm off.
Once he had control of the gun he spit the liquid from his illness onto it before one word left his lips. “Vosk”. Every shot roared out of the gun with enough force the weapon started to crack. Every shot hit their target given how close the pair were standing, Lysander was shredded. First it was his arm, then both of his knees. When Silver got ready to reload his friend was a shattered mess that was barely able to pull himself together.
The half breed took his time reloading the gun, he had plenty of time. Lysander was barely able to pull himself together, whenever he tried to move his body shattered again. Silver cruelly watched his angry friend flounder around as he reloaded. Each bullet placed in the revolver caused the entire gun to glow a bright blue. It matched the color on his hands when using Soul Strike.
Lysander, and everyone present looked on in horror as Silver closed the gun only to push it against Lysanders head. The half breed was done with his friend's crap, he had been dealing with it for centuries. Even though he knew Lysander needed to die he still kept him around. He clicked the hammer back before speaking, “ it's a shame you don't remember what i told you. Let me remind you.”
Lysander tried to free himself until Silver snapped his fingers, four black rods pierced what was left of Lysander. The man screamed in pain before silently staring at his friend. The half breed pushed the gun harder into his friend's eye, shattering it.
“ I told you that your life is a gift, a gift that I would take away if you ever stepped out of line again. You said what you needed to stay alive, well I kept you alive because I needed you. Now it's time to cut off the diseased hand.” Silver pulled the trigger, and the gun went off, except Lysander was still alive. He was emitting a high pitched whine. The sound attracted the Morgrim. It would have crushed Silver if he was not bonded with Quenya.
She used her mist to block his attempt to tackle them while Silver turned to fire into its head. The bullet easily ripped through the creature's head but it didn't stop it. Silver shot it two more times before it broke through the hastily made barrier. It tried to slash Silver to ribbons with its claws only to have a wave of black mist hit it into the air. The moment it was high enough Senka appeared, her body was partially shattered, one eye was missing, her magitech was gone along with part of her chest. The woman looked like hell.
Her spear glowed as brilliantly as the sun before she threw it, It hit something just not her target. It hit a robed being that quickly sent the spear back at her. It even launched a white lightning bolt at Silver. It hit him square in the chest knocking him out while Senka caught her spear. She tried to throw it back but everyone was gone. The morgrim, Lysander, even the robed woman.
Senka never took her eyes off of them but they were just gone. Even all of Lysanders little pieces were collected. The ancient elf looked at everyone as she moved to the ground, when her feet touched the ground she immediately went into doctor mode. She went to check on her son but Sara was already there, the woman carefully healed his wounds
Senka set about healing everyone else, she even used her telegem to call in more doctors after she saw what state Elizabeth was in. The woman had a nasty hole in her head but she was alive. Her own abilities were starting to kick in and seal the wound. Well Senka thought they were just kicking in randomly, she was wrong. Senka tried to careful free her friend but the moment she touched her Elizabeth woke up with a gasp. Her remaining eye had a thousand yard stare as the pain she was in made it hard to think.
“Senka…Sen…AAAHHH MY FUCKING HEAD!” She let out a small groan of pain before passing out. and whatever she sealed with her abilities suddenly burst open and sprayed blood everywhere. The head mistress freed the death elf before stuffing snow into the giant hole in the side of her patients head. She kept pressure as Marlena ran up. “ Fucking hell Senka dont do that…”
“ Shut the fuck up Marlena, and help me. I would normally agree that this is a bad idea. Except death elves are different. The cold helps them heal, it will also stop her bleeding. Fuck..fuck…” Senka kept packing snow into her friends face as it melted. Marlena was quick to grab some students to help carrying their teacher inside. The moment they put Elizabeth in a room, Senka went to work on her.
The ancient elf wondered how her friend survived a point blank shot to the face until she realized what happened. The longer she worked the more she saw streaks of black on her skull. Senka just smiled as she worked. “ Using Reaper's Wish is a bold move Liz. I am glad you pulled it off though, I will however have to yell at Elkrin.” Nothing else was said after that, Senka just focused on getting her friend back on her feet.
It was going to be along recovery for the death elf but the ancient one knew her friend was up for the challenge. She was so focused on what she was doing Senka never noticed her son limping his way from his room. Silver was determined not to stay in the clinic. So determined he used a sleeping spell on Sara. The woman was almost smothering him in an attempt to keep him in bed.
He wandered around the silent school until he stumbled across something that made him want to break down into tears. Vincent's room was in shambles. The once shrine-like room looked like a tornado went through it.
The structure itself was sound, the force of the explosion just ruined everything. After discovering the shape of the room Silver kept himself busy by cleaning it. Enough furniture was broken he was forced to put more than a few things in boxes. Whenever a still blood covered Senka found her son, he was sitting in the rocking chair they used to rock Vincent to sleep.
He was admiring a toy she had made for him. It was a wolf carved out of wood but his limbs and head moved. It was one of Vincent's favorites illustrated by the fact it had been glued together multiple times. The only thing that pulled him from staring at the toy was Senka clearing her throat.
“ Ahem…ummm the good news is Elizabeth is alive for now. The bad news is we don't know if she will stay that way. I have a death elf surgeon coming to see her, maybe they can do more than I can. Treating her kind is always tricky.” Her son just blankly nodded as he added the toy to the shelves it used to sit on.
“ Do what you can, If she survives that is a blessing. If not, I will handle all the funeral arrangements. I am sure her brother will want to be there.” The mention of Elizabeth's half brother had Senka shaking her head. “ No Jason cannot be there. He tried to kill her when she was named head of the family. That was not even the worst thing he did…Jason deserves to be forgotten Silver.”
The half breed just shook his head in disagreement. “Elizabeth forgave him a long time ago, He has even grown a lot since he became a death elf.” The news that Elizabeth's brother became a death elf made her laugh. “Holy shit that is funny. If she is alright with it I won't complain. Just know if he steps out of line I will kill him. His sister may have forgiven him but I have not.”
She smiled before trying to wipe some blood off of her hands. “ Come down to the kitchen sweetheart, once I get cleaned up I will make you something.” She looked at her son with concern as he shook his head before standing up.
“ Thanks for the offer, mother, but I think I am going to bed. Today has taken a lot out of me…” he walked by his mother, and barely stopped long enough for her to kiss his cheek. She watched him walk down the hall to his still trashed room, and close the door.
The next few minutes were filled with crashing sounds as Silver made himself enough room on his bed to sleep. He managed to sleep through the night, he even stayed asleep when Quenya left his body. The woman healed up enough to take her own form again.
She didn't have the energy to go home though, instead she curled up with Silver. Her tail grew big enough, and furry enough to cover them both like a blanket.
Silver Awakens Lucian other half.
This story involves another character i will be adding a section to this journal for.
The castle was eerily quiet as Lucian walked through the halls, He knew part of the silence was due to a lot of the students leaving. New laws had been passed and a large number of students went home, those that stayed kept to themselves for the most part. He knew that was part of it but he also felt like everyone hated him for losing control of his powers. He knew it was a mistake to train with everyone else, his friends wouldn't stop until he agreed to join them. He tried holding back but it didn't take long for him to lose control of his mist. It broke several people's arms and put two students in comas. He was heartbroken over hurting anyone, and that feeling was only made worse by being called into Professor Drafaylums tower. It felt like an eternity to walk to the tower, and once there he didn't have the nerve to even knock on the door. Even if he wanted to he never got the chance, the door swung open and Silver's voice echoed throughout the tower. “ Come to the top of the tower, Lucian.”The young void walker did as he was told and made the trek up the tower. The structure was far bigger than it should have been. Every flight of stairs ended in a room of some sort. Most were filled with research equipment. Others were for storage. It took the boy almost an hour to get to the top and by that point he was out of breath as he looked at the former headmaster. Even though he had stepped down as dean of the school, Silver often handled student punishments if Senka was too busy. Lucian tried to speak while he struggled to catch his breath. All Silver did was pull up a chair and hand his student a large glass of water. “Sit down and drink that. Also before we get into why you are really here Senka wanted me to tell you something. She said you were suspended from school grounds for the next couple weeks. “Lucians look of disappointment as he sat down had the older mage feeling for the teenager. He had been doing really well in his classes and this was going to set him back. The wolf man patted Lucians shoulder as he pulled up a chair to sit on. “ I would not worry too much, I already asked Quenya to bring you homework so you can keep up with your classmates.” The young man was still disappointed but knowing he would not fall behind seemed to set him at ease. He quietly drank the water he was given as Silver continued to speak.“ The real reason you are here is so I can talk to you about your abilities. You have good control of them but it could be better. I have heard stories of you struggling to control yourself, today's events showed me a deeper problem.” Lucian didn't know what to say about anything his teacher was saying, it was strange to not be in tons of trouble for hurting all of those students. Banishment from the school for a couple weeks was a vacation, even if Lucian still had homework. He finished his glass of water before finally saying anything.. “ I am terrified of my own powers. I spend every day wondering when something will go wrong. I can't talk to anyone or i risk forcing them to do my bidding. It's over if I get someone's blood on me…I just wish my powers would go away. So I can live a normal life.” It was a hard truth to admit but it felt right to tell his teacher. Silver was the first person he had ever admitted his fear to. Even Falvir, and Quenya didn't know how he felt. He felt Silvers hand on his shoulder before he was floating towards a mirror that appeared out of nowhere. The boy wanted to run but his body felt heavy, any fear he had was soothed when Silver spoke. “ I know you don't actually wish for your powers to be gone. You would feel hollow without them, trust me I know. I can help you master your powers if you allow me to, If not you can go pack for your vacation at Quenyas house.” The voidwalker looked from the mirror to silver and then back to the mirror, something about the ornate piece of furniture seemed to draw him in. He even thought he heard snoring coming from the mirror. His attention broke away from the mirror again when Silver stood next to it. The offer to have help with his powers had the boy nodding. “ I will try anything to not be afraid anymore.” his acceptance of Silver's help had the older mage holding out his hand. “ Give me your hand Lucian, The first step in mastering your powers is awakening your partner. I know you can hear it, that deep snoring coming from the mirror.”The snoring grabbed Lucians attention again as he offered his hand to Silver. The older mage would take it and sliced Lucians hand open. The boy tried to pull back only for Silver to pull his hand to the mirror so he could smear his students blood on it. When he finally got his hand back Lucian clutched it like he was bleeding out. It didn't take him long to realize it was fully healed. His mind was blown due to how fast he healed. The young voidwalkers attention went back to the mirror as a voice echoed from it.. It started as a yawn before a cheerful voice filled the air. “ I was having the most wonderful dream…or was it a dream….I..I…What's going on.” The longer the voice spoke the more young void walkers image in the mirror changed, Eventually what was seen in the mirror was a being that refused to stick to one shape. When it was not an amorphous blob of black mist it was a horrific amalgamation of things. Lucian was speechless so Silver did the talking. “ I am afraid that none of that was a dream young one. I am sorry to have awoken you but it was time you did, your bondmate needs your help.” The being seemed scared until the older mage came into view, its fear was gone and it stopped changing forms. Even a newborn like it knew who its elders were, at least Silver thought it was a newly awoken creature. He was wrong, the void creature grew in size and finally took the shape of someone that terrified Lucian to his core. It was the man who killed his parents, and stalked him his entire life. “ This boy is mine, you pathetic half breed, I don't care if he needs help. He needs to break.”The being kept ranting and he was just ignored by Silver, the older mages attention was on Lucian. The boy was frozen in fear, the kind of fear a lifetime of abuse produced. He never got angry, he just let out a calming aura for the boy. Silver looked into the mirror with a smile clearly unfazed by what was happening. “ There is plenty I can do for you, I have Lucian. I also have Alai.” The name alai rang bells in Lucians head and produced another voice from the mirror, It was the same cheerful voice from before. “ Alai…Hmm is that me?” the voice got an answer from Silver as his smile grew wider. “ Yes child that's you, I have Lucian here with me. We wanted to say hello. Say hello Lucian”
Lucian waved at the mirror like a dork as he was greeted by the new voice. “ Hello Alai, it's nice to meet you.” The boy's fear was slowly melting away as he realized what was going on, his sudden resolve had the invading soul starting to lose its form. The cheerful voice spoke again, further breaking the invader apart. “It's nice to meet you Lucian…I feel like this should have happened sooner… like maybe i was asleep for way too long…I…Let me get rid of this annoyance.” The mirror filled with a dense mist before rattling and shattering. The dense black mist rapidly spread towards Lucian and Silver. Neither had a chance to react as it invaded their mouths, and filled their eyes. Lucian passed out immediately but Silver fought until he found himself standing in nothing. It wasn't the void, it was just nothing. The world could be felt outside but where they stood was empty. The invading soul seemed to be gone thankfully. all that remained in the emptiness was Silver and a woman. The older void walker knew he was not standing before a new soul, the one before him was a reincarnation. One strong enough he could barely feel its power. “ Tell me Lord Drafaylum, why should I wake up? You know as well as I do what the consequences are. It's a beacon for void walkers like you to hunt us down. The boy is already being attacked by those that want his power. Why should I make it worse?” The woman seemed to be growing angrier the longer she talked. Her logic was sound but it still had Silver shaking his head. “ I can tell you that I am the last Void Walker to be created. If any are alive it is because I let them live, I wanted to awaken you because your power is growing too much for Lucian to handle. Your bondmate will die if you don't do something. I know you didn't choose to be reincarnated this way but it won't happen again if you let him die.”The woman looked silver up and down for a few moments before repeating something the soul invading Lucians body said. “ Why should I listen to a broken vessel? Your own bondmate cut off her connection from you…wait..It's more than that. Stop trying to hide your thoughts from me, if you want to help the boy you will let me see everything.” Silver reluctantly let the being invade his thoughts, It was not gentle as it ripped through everything in his mind. It was so focused on what was in his head Lucians bondmate left itself open. The half breed took the opportunity he was given to see who he was dealing with. It didn't take him long to realize why Alai was so nervous around them. She was a gentle soul that spent her life caring for forests and prairies of her home. She was friends with all the creatures that dwelled on her land, no matter the race she cared for them all. Hailed as a god by some even though she wasn't, her end was a tragic one when her life was taken as her beloved forests burned around her. She saved as many as she could before burning with the home she loved so muchWhen Silver got to the memories of her reincarnation Alai pushed him out of her mind. “ I don't know if I can wake up even after seeing your memories. I should have come back without my memories or power, Lucian will never be able to handleit. There is no way…I'm sorry.” the woman started to fade away before Silver had a eureka moment. “ Please wait Alai, there is a way for you to awaken. The only downside is you will lose almost all of your memories.” The woman stopped fading away when she heard his words. She stayed silent a few moments before speaking. “ Losing my memories is not an issue for me, I should have lost them already. What about my powers, they could still tear him apart.”
Alai was shocked to hear that he seemed to have a solution for that as well. “ We just need to lock your powers behind a series of milestones. That way as he grows older and through training he can eventually grow to handle all of you. If we do this I do have to warn you not all of your memories might be wiped. You will still remember your name and who you are as a person. You will probably remember your likes and dislikes..Essentially you will remember the minor things ingrained in your soul. Just not the memories of your former life. If you want me to do this you need to let me go, you can take over Lucians body just let me go.”
Alai seemed hesitant to let him go but she did. Silver was back in his body in the blink of an eye. No other words were spoken after that. Silver got to work doing what he promised the reincarnation he would. It took Silver almost the entire two weeks Lucian should have been banished from the school to finish his preparations. During that time alai would occasionally speak to Silver, she would ask about Simul, and things from his memories. After a while Alai started letting Lucian talk and control his own body so he could get used to her presence. That only happened after a bit of prodding from the older voidwalker. While he worked Silver gave Alai all the information he could about what it was to be like him. He talked about their powers and where it derives from. He even mentioned that most VoidWalkers were created. That piece of news had the reincarnated soul shifting in her seat like she was contemplating leaving. She stopped moving when the half breed spoke about her connection with Lucian. He told her how they were a unique case when it came to beings like them. While most were created Lucians birth was natural. She seemed to feel better knowing her reincarnation was a natural one even if she did get stuck in someone else's body. Lucian jumped into conversations from time to time, at least when he was able to understand the subject. The young boy's questions soon turned from Silver to Alai, he started asking her about all the things he was seeing in her memories. The pair soon spent hours talking to each other, and about their lives, both of them seemed to become more and more excited.Lucian was excited because he finally felt whole, he tried to describe the feeling only to utterly fail at it. It was so bad Alai didn't seem to understand him and she was in his head. Silver soon stepped in and described the feeling to them. “ That feeling you describe as emptiness is…a complicated feeling both of you will have to get used to. That emptiness never goes away, once you get used to each other it will fade. That feeling is a reminder to keep your bondmate safe. If anything happens to either of you that feeling will come back tenfold and never go away.”Lucian looked at himself in the mirror while his professor spoke, It looked like he was just staring into a mirror. That is what most people would think but Silver knew better. He knew his student was busy talking to his other half. The older voidwalker found himself missing the silent conversations with Quenya, Just thinking about the emptiness he felt without her was painful. His student stayed silent for so long the older mage kept on working not wanting to interrupt whatever was going on. He knew how important it was for the pair to just talk, their silence eventually caused Silver to stop working so he could take a break and smoke. He opened one of the towers large windows before lighting a cigarette. He filled his lung with smoke and exhaled through his nose as he looked over towards the young voidwalker. His silent interactions with Alai as he stared into the mirror had Silver taking his telegem out of his pocket. He didn't realize until he looked at his device that he had messaged Quenya. He had asked her to meet him on the roof of the tower, The response he got made his heart drop. It was a simple yet resounding no. no excuses just no. He wanted to be angry about it but he couldn't, just thinking about what he almost did to her made Silver want to vomit. Another message shortly after the last one pulled the wolf man from his thoughts. It was another message from Quenya. “ i do not mean to sound so rude, I can't talk right now. I took the twins to Senka for a checkup. You know how much she hates telegems in the exam rooms. Come by the house later and we can talk.” His mood improved at the thought of talking to his friend again. Unfortunately the spell he was crafting was on a time limit. Just him taking a break to smoke and message Quenya was pushing it. “ I can't right now, I am awakening Alai”Silver finished his cigarette and put down his telegem so he could get back to work. It kept buzzing and ringing to the point Alai finally spoke. “ Please stop whatever that infernal noise is or I am going back to sleep.” the older voidwalker didn't think twice about turning off his device. The last thing he needed was for Lucians other half to go to sleep. It was hard enough to wake her as it was. All of Silver's work was nearing completion when Alai screamed out in anger. The sudden appearance of Falvir had the reincarnated one scream in fear, Not because he scared her by entering the tower unannounced. His mage eyes seemed to trigger her. Lucians mist of the damned filled the tower quickly enough it caught Ryker off guard. He slammed into the wall and passed out while Silver used his mist to keep from being thrown out of the tower. It eventually became too dangerous for him to keep the raging soul at the castle. He could feel the floor of the tower starting to crack and parts of the walls crumbling.
He used what little mana he had at his disposal to teleport them away from the castle. He didn't have a destination in mind, just somewhere not in Simul. Their destination from the wild teleport was a place Silver never wanted to see again. A dead world ravaged by the failures of its defenders, Whatever was left here was a shadow of its former self wandering aimlessly in a world waiting for its star to die. The wolf man wouldn't let his fear of the realm take over. He focused on his student who was quickly losing the fight to his other half.
Alai kept screaming in anger forcing even more of Lucian's mist into their surroundings. Very quickly Silver stood on the only bare patch of ground in an unending sea of black. her screams of anger turned into a speech that made Silver's heart drop. “ I WILL NEVER LET HIM HAVE ME, THAT BASTARD LEAF CAN ROT IN HELL FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE! HE TOOK EVERYTHING FROM ME, MY HOME, MY FAMILY. EVEN MY LIFE. ALL BECAUSE WE REFUSED TO BOW TO HIM. I SHOULD HAVE BEEN LEFT TO SLEEP FOR ETERNITY INSTEAD I AM HUNTED LIKE AN ANIMAL.YOU AND THE BOY WILL DIE FIRST THEN I WILL FIND YOUR MASTER AND KILL HIM.”
Alai’s anger and despair showed in more than just her voice, her very soul emanated a sorrow that could only come from losing everything. He felt horrible for the soul but he couldn't let her rage out of control. If this went on too long Lucian would be gone. They boy was fighting to hang onto what little control he had left. Tears streamed from his eyes as the reincarnated one tried to crush Silver with more black mist. The attack didn't work, the older voidwalker just stood in his own little bubble of mist trying to figure out what to do. He wanted to just overpower Alai and make her submit to Lucian even though he knew it would not work.Nothing he would do normally would work, Alai was not a normal soul and she clearly still had some issues left over from her death. It didn't take him long to just start talking to the distraught soul. It was the first step in a very risky plan to diffuse the situation completely “ Leaf is dead, Alai. He has not drawn breath for over eight millenia, He cannot hurt anyone ever again. You need to calm down or you are going to kill Lucian, He is just a child.”“ LEAF DIDN'T SPARE MY CHILDREN WHEN HE RIPPED THEM FROM THEIR CRIBS JUST TO BURN THEM IN FRONT OF ME. WHY SHOULD I GIVE HIS OFFSPRING THE SAME TREATMENT.” The souls anger was growing causing her to use Lucian's mist to slowly break his bones. Silver could hear every snap alongside every whimper that came from the boy. The older mage started to cry as he fought to keep a cool head. “ I'm sorry Lucian, I never should have put you through this. If you want to punish someone, Alai punish me. I am the last of Leaf's blood, I have been paying for his sins my entire life so why stop now. Take my body and spare the child, he is innocent in all of this.” Silver dropped his barrier and let Alai’s mist wash over him like a wave. Everything that was Alai assaulted the half breeds mind, and body. It threatened to tear him apart, If the pain didn't kill him Alai making his body her home might have. The hurricane of emotions combined with his body twisting in unnatural ways made it impossible for him to stay in control. He felt like he was drowning, it was the same feeling he felt when he killed all those innocent people, and attacked his friends. “ No, I can't let it end like this,I refuse to let it end. if i die now she will be alone. Left to wonder why I left again. I cannot break her heart again.” He found the strength to fight as memories of Lyanna kept him from giving up completely.
The battle of wills between the reincarnated one, and Silver felt like it raged for decades. Blood flowed from his eyes as he pushed back against the invading soul. It was difficult but he managed to slowly but surely regain control of his own mind. The longer they fought the more he could feel Alai weakening. She was expending so much energy trying to keep herself in control. The half breed knew their fight would not last much longer. Alai tried to fight back except her power was running out against her opponent's sudden resolve. “I WILL KILL YOU, YOU FUCKING HALF BREED.” She gave her all to regain control of Silver's body and she was greeted by appearing in what she thought was another realm. She had her previous body as she stood in an ocean of blood filled with skeletons. The horrifying sight made her want to close her eyes, only she couldn't. They stayed open so she could stare at the horrors around her, eventually her opponent appeared in front of her as calm as he could possibly be. “ Where the hell are we Silver, this is no realm I have ever seen. Nowhere does this kind of thing exist.” Alai tried to keep her voice even but it started to break the longer she saw the blood. She hated it and just wanted to be asleep. Why couldn't she just sleep. She did not want to be in this unending nightmare anymore. “ No you can't sleep Alai, and you know where we are. A sorceress as powerful as you knows a mindscape when she sees one. I made this one just for you, seeing as how you hate violence of any kind. It's strange that such a peaceful soul like you would threaten to kill an innocent child. Then I started thinking about how maybe you are not so peaceful. Thanks to the help of your memories I got my answer, you brought Leafs wrath upon yourself. You gave up your peaceful ways to enact revenge for him killing the human that you tricked into impregnating you. Your village cast you out but not before it was too late, they were killed because of your need for revenge.” The older voidwalkers words cut deep and should have stopped the rampaging soul. His words had the opposite effect. Alai somehow forced herself out of silver's body and into somewhat of a physical form. She was barely holding herself together and her power seemed to come back like she was drawing power from the dead world. How a soul like her was able to be reincarnated almost seemed impossible to Silver. Their mental battle soon turned into a physical one. The power of their spells was changing the landscape of their chosen battle ground. It felt like the whole world shook as they tried to kill each other. “ How the hell can she use magic?” It was one of the many thoughts running through the half breeds head.
He was so focused on his opponent the archmage almost didn't realize that his student was about to get swept up in the fight. The boy laid face down in the dirt having fallen there at some point in their fight. The realization of his student still being present took Silver's attention. He tried to send the boy home as quickly as he could. It left him open for an attack from Alai. She exploited it by blasting him in the chest with a particularly nasty bolt of lightning. He felt his heart stop before things started to become dark. He thought he saw Quenya being held back by her father. She was screaming something he just couldn't hear. He felt like a complete idiot that he was going to die after fighting so hard to try and get the upper hand. He should have ended it the moment he had the chance to. He could not do it, it felt wrong to snuff out a soul just because they were out of control. It felt even more wrong that he would deprive his student of his literal other half. It reminded him of how he almost killed Quenya when he was out of his mind.“ I guess Boone really was right, I am worthless. I can barely protect myself. How can I expect to protect Lyanna, or anyone for that matter. I couldn't even protect my children when they needed me” Silvers dying thoughts of all of his failures were interrupted by a familiar voice he never thought he would hear again. It belonged to his friend Dragon, the man always had a way of popping up when he was needed. It was like that in life so why should it be different in death.
“ You really have become a shell of your former self if you believe that. The SiverilLamruil i followed would rip out the throat of anyone who said that to him. I remember a man who would move mountains to make sure he made it home to his family. Do you really want to leave her alone again?”His old friend's words had the voidwalker chuckling internally. “ I really wanted this to turn out differently.. I left myself open like some kind of pup.” Silvers inner world was silent for a moment until Dragon spoke again. “ The same man who would move mountains also made sure he had a few tricks up his sleeves. That way he could get the better of his enemies. Be that man again, use whatever is at your disposal so you can go home and see the woman you love again. If you die here that means I left my daughter with the wrong man. It is bad enough that you let her fall in love with someone like Nico.” The one final insult from his friend had Silver looking inward towards the well of power he kept hidden. It was a collection of souls from his fallen opponents. Not just any opponents though, every soul he kept trapped in his body belonged to other voidwalkers like himself. How could he use their souls to win, it was bad enough they had to spend eternity trapped inside of him. He probed the pool of souls only to be pulled in by a dozen voices all screaming the same thing. “Purge yourself of our corruption and rise to the top, free us so we can finally move on. We are tired of being trapped in this darkness, we tasted freedom for a while only to be sealed away again. Just end this suffering.” The entire time Silver was slowly dying and talking to the dead. Alai just watched the color drain from his skin, while the brightness of his eyes started to dull. She completely ignored the wolf woman who was now wailing in sorrow as her bondmate died. “ Father please, I need to help him. He can't do this on his own. Please just let me go!” Her fathers response was to continue to hold her tightly as he tried to talk to her. “ You cannot help him Quenya, neither of us can. This battle is his alone, if we intervene he will die. I want to let you help but I can't.” The wolf woman's father just held his daughter as he stared at the scene before them. All he could do was silently wish for his friend to somehow make it through this ordeal in one piece. Even if it was not looking good for the half breed.Hansas words did nothing to calm his daughter down; she still tried to force herself out of her fathers grasp. She understood what was going on; she just didn't want to let it happen. All she felt was his life slowly slipping away from her. The wolf woman was feeling the last fleeting embers of life leave her friend when it suddenly came rushing back.
A strange sense of calm took over her as the fight between Silver and Alai started up again. Her fear of him losing was gone, it was replaced with a certainty that he would come out on top. His soul felt lighter to her as she opened the connection she shared with him. The reincarnated soul fought hard as she traded spells with her opponent, Her previous “Mastery” of the arcane seemed to be disappearing as the woman used fewer and fewer spells. It was like she was burning through what magical ability she had left the longer they fought. No matter how hard Alai fought she was no match for the more experienced mage. Her body slowly broke apart as her opponent seemed to counter everything she did. She was barely holding it together when Silver hit her with a ball of blackfire that broke her soul into pieces. It was over at that point and Silver knew it. He could have finished her and just left it at that, instead he let the soul piece itself back together. Once she was reformed Alai was on her knees completely unable to move anything beyond her head. The look of defeat on the woman's face was obvious as she knelt before him. “ Just end it Silver, let me go back into the cycle to get a better life.” Silver's rude laughter at her statement had the woman wanting to punch him again. “ Wow Alai you really are naive, This is your last stop in the line. Those killed due to revenge dont get another chance. You squandered the immortality you were given seeking death, and you took many innocents with you. The gods generally do not like that, especially not your god. Gaia is not a merciful deity to those who destroy her creations” Alai’s response to what he said was not what he expected to hear “ What about you Lord Drafaylum? How much death and destruction have you caused? The gods cannot be happy with the man who created the cataclysm spell. Do not speak to me about squandering my gifts when you have killed magnitudes more than I ever have.” The other voidwalker didn't have anything to say about that, he knew what he had done and wished everyday he could take it back. His sins would haunt him forever and he knew that. He just didn't have to cling to them like he had been, just like he had been clinging to all those soul gems he had eaten over the years. “ You're right, I am worse than you, I make no excuses for what I am. That's what makes us different, I never hid who I am behind the lies of being a pacifist. Enough of the philosophical talk you have two options right now. I can kill you and you will go to the hell that all voidwalkers like us go to, It is not a pleasant place to be, trust me. Your second option is rejoining Lucians body and learning to like it, you were bonded to him for a reason instead of being sent to wherever you would have ended up. Make your choice Alai you don't have long before i make mine.” The runes engraved into Silver's bones started to glow faintly before a blue aura surrounded his hand. If he was forced to kill her it would at least be quick. A well placed soul strike would destroy her completely, Nothing would be left of her soul to be taken to any kind of hell. The blue aura around his hand had Alai bowing her head in defeat. “ Put me back into Lucians body, Maybe I can earn another reincarnation by helping the boy. If I can't, I will settle for training him to kill you. Arrogant lords like you should not be in power.” Both of them laughed as Silver grabbed Alai by the neck so he could pull her to her feet. She tried to struggle as a burning sensation spread through her body. The smile the half breed had before was still on his face. “ Sorry for the pain Alai, sealing a soul back into a body is a very..uncomfortable process...I am excited to see what you can get Lucian to do. Do not make that boy into a monster, I would hate to have to kill you both.” The older voidwalker ended his sentence by appearing to crush the soul. Alai would feel excruciating pain for a few moments before awakening again in Lucians body. The boy was staring into the mirror crying, the immense feeling of loneliness she felt broke the soul's heart. Any anger she had melted away as she started to comfort her bondmate. The pair fell asleep after a while completely exhausted from the day's events.
After Alai was gone Silver silently stared off into the distance completely unaware that Quenya was currently running in his direction. He was too lost in thinking about how light he felt. He was no longer burdened with all those souls. His mind was quiet for the first time in centuries, the madness he feared had faded back to obscurity. Even Timothy's parting gift seemed to be gone. The peace he felt did not last long though, his body was quickly succumbing to his illness. All the excess power from those souls being destroyed might have kept his illness at bay but as it slowly dissipated it came back with vengeance. Quenya never made it to her other half as he started to violently cough up alarming amounts of black liquid, and blood. It was so bad the liquid from his illness was coming from his eyes and his ears. Silver looked towards the wolf woman as his legs started to shake. The sudden onset of his illness did not feel right, it felt wrong. “Q-Quenya some…somethings wrong.” The wolf woman tried to catch her other half only to be beaten by her father. “ Go and check on the twins, Quenya. I will bring him to Senka, I am sure she will know what to do with him. You heard me girl go.” The wolf did as she was and headed home while her father spoke to her other half. “ I really hope you are not dying on us, boy. That was a hell of a display. If I have to be honest I hope you have a few more of those in you.” His chuckle echoed through the dead realm as Hansa disappeared.
( this next section takes place a couple weeks after the battle.)
“ Quenya do not send that letter to Lyanna, she does not need to worry about Silver. He will wake up soon you know that.” Senkas words had the wolf woman looking down at the letter she had been writing to Lyanna. Her ears drooped a little bit as she looked at Senka “ Lyanna needs to know, he has been leaving her flowers and other things for weeks now. I don't want her to think that he abandoned her.” Her quill hovered over the paper for a moment before she started to write again quickly finishing the letter. The wolf woman was ignored as Senka checked on her son. He seemed to be alright now but he was not waking up. That alone had the elf worried and wondering what was keeping him asleep. It was not his illness or his wounds, it was something different. Whatever it was the elf had no clue, it almost felt like he didnt want to wake up. Quenya sent her letter off in a puff of white mist before turning her attention to Silver. “ Senka, can you please leave the room? I think I know how to wake him up.” the older elf just nodded and left the wolf alone with her other half. Once she was alone Quenya crawled into the bed with Silver and hugged him tight. “Please wake up, Lyanna needs you. I need you… I don't know if I can live without feeling the touch of your soul, or hear your thoughts. I have been so lonely without you, I never thought I would miss just knowing you are always there for me. . I'm so sorry that I sealed our connection, I was just terrified of what might happen. Terrified that you being back to normal was just an act. Please Sivelril come back to us.” The wolf woman held her friend tighter as a white mist surrounded both of them. When it finally faded only Silver was left on the bed. The only evidence Quenya had been there was the stray tears that had landed on his cheek. Whatever she had planned was working as Silver woke up suddenly from a violent coughing fit. He fell out of the bed as he coughed up blood, the liquid from his illness, and what appeared to be an alarming amount of glass. The coughing fit ended with him vomiting out the same white mist Quenya used to become one with her friend again. The wolf woman would appear out of the mist and immediately went to her friend's side. “ I cant believe that worked, please don't hate me, I had to wake you up. I couldn't leave you trapped like that.” The archmage squeezed his friends hand. No words were spoken, instead Silver just nudged his head against the side of Quenyas. That simple action had the wolf woman crying like a baby. He was back to normal and she could feel it. He was finally himself again, no more madness or amentia it was all gone.
